What goes into making this fidget slider

  • Each slider is 3D printed, it takes 3.5 to print one slider, many end up in the garbage because of a flaw in the print
  • Once the parts are printed and inspected each piece is cleaned by hand (4 pieces)
  • The magnetic plates are measured with calipers to verify the spacing
  • The magnets are glued into the bottom plates
  • Weights are added and glued in place
  • Each slider is heat treated to create a uniform finish
  • The PTFE tape is added then trimmed to size
  • The plates joined with the shell and glued into place
  • Each slider is tested
