Version 1
This was 3D printed in nylon using a HP Multijet. It had no internal weights and had PTFE tape on both halves.
Version 2
A 3D printed PLA part from an FDM printer. It has internal weights to give it heft. This slider has two layers of tape. A spacer tape and then PTFE over top. The bottom of each plate has two lines. These are guide or cut lines. Thin tape is placed between these two lines. Over top covering the entire plate is PTFE low friction tape.
Version 3
This version had thinner, but very slippery PTFE tape on both halves, an updated surface texture on the side thumb area. And a tighter fit between plates. I made the inside plates stick out less so the slider halves would be closer together.
Version 4
This version has adjusted magnet spacing to allow for thicker more durable PTFE tape.
Version 5
Redesigned the parts so they print and fit together better. This is internal and will not be seen. I will most likely modify the side thumb texture slightly for more consistent printing. Adjusted magnetic spacing to allow easier laddering moves. New bottom plate texture makes sliding just a bit smoother.
